The pattern was super easy with very clear directions. I decided to add purchases piping along the pocket openings and to the top of the cuffs. I would definitely make them again, just not out of this fabric. The fabric, Sew Classic Rodeo from Joann’s, looks and feels nice, but got iron shine really easy, and using a press cloth to press all the seams became really awkward.
I managed to get all the pieces for the 2/3T size cut out of 1 yard of the fabric which is only 43” wide.
This was my first experience with piping. For the pocket I basted the piping to the pocket edge right sides together. Then I stitched the pocket lining to the pocket opening sandwiching the piping between them.
For the cuffs I stitched the fabric and piping right sides together, pressing flat to set my stitches, then folding and pressing my seam allowances to the wrong side. Then continued with the pattern directions.
I LOVE the piping detail. I think I need to whip some of these up for my little girl very soon for school!
